| In the day of prosperity
be happy, but in the day of adversity consider -- God has made the
one as well as the other so that man will not discover anything that
will be after him.
Ecclesiastes 7:14
And not only this, but we also exult

1 Peter 2:21
But even if you should suffer for the
sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear
their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify
Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make
a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for
the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;
and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which
you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior
in Christ will be put to shame. For it is better, if God
should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right
rather than for doing what is wrong.
1 Peter 3:14-17
But if anyone suffers as a Christian,
he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this
name.
1 Peter 4:16
After you have suffered for a little
while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal
glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen,
and establish you.
1 Peter 5:10
For in the day of trouble He will conceal
me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He
will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.
Psalms 27:5
That I may know Him and the power of
His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being conformed to His death.
