Even so consider yourselves to be dead
to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin
reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, and do not
go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of
unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive form
the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but
under grace.
Romans 6:11-14

it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot
please God. However you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit,
if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.
Romans 8:5-9
Therefore if you have been raised up with
Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at
the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on
the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is
hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:1-3
Do not love the world nor the things
in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is
not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and
the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from
the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and
also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:15-17
For whatever is born of God overcomes
the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world- our
faith. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God.
1 John 5:4-5
You are from God, little children, and
have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who
is in the world.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be
made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:6-7
Finally, brethren, whatever is true,
whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever
is lovely, whatever is of good repute , if there is any excellence
and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things
you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice
these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
